Impact producing is a relatively new field and industry professionals want to understand how it can reinforce their own efforts.

There is a common misconception that impact producing is an enhanced marketing tool.
​
Whilst it is true that an impact campaign will likely increase the audience for a film, that is not its primary objective.
​
The main goal of an impact campaign is to amplify the message of a film, to ensure that it is understood and then to transform that audience receptivity and understanding into concrete action in the real world.
​
Our target audience will be different to that of a distributor. Where a distributor may seek to get a maximum of 'bums on seats', and impact producer will work in partnership with the distributor to ensure that identified stakeholders are specifically amongst those bums on seats and further, that their viewing of the film translates into engagement and concrete action.
